What is the experience level of the sales and installation team, and how long has he/she been selling for the company?

Sentry Security’s salespeople have an average of 25 years experience designing and selling alarm systems, and managing existing customer relationships. Our technicians have more than 15 years of industry experience. All members of the Sentry team are familiar with your system and are able to provide ongoing service or future upgrades.

Are your employees licensed, drug tested, and background checked?

All of Sentry Security’s employees are licensed, drug tested, and background checked. Your technician will have his or her license number printed on their business card. Your technician will be in uniform, arrive in a Sentry Security truck, and can provide you with additional identification on arrival if needed.

Will my installation be customized to my home?

At Sentry, we customize every installation to your home’s architecture, your family’s lifestyle, and to your security needs. We take the time to make sure your system’s set-up is right for you, even for our most basic systems. We never place equipment somewhere in your home because “that’s where it always goes.” We make sure we install everything where you need and want it to be.

What is “Sentry Interactive”?

Sentry Security’s newest and most popular alarm protection service, Sentry Interactive, offers clients the ability to remotely arm and disarm their wireless security system via computer or smart phone—from anywhere in the world! Features include but are not limited to:

  • Live video feeds of your home
  • Integrated locks that open or close from anywhere
  • Remote controlled thermostats (helps reduce household energy costs)
  • Turn outside lights on to prove a safe path when you arrive home
  • Customizable message alerts for non-emergency events, such as family members’ coming & going; low battery signals

Will I have access to a full product offering, making future additions and upgrades to the system easy?

Many options include carbon monoxide detectors, remote access to your alarm system, and completely wireless systems.

Why switch to wireless security technology?

When many intruders break into homes or warehouses, they will often look to cut your telephone line(s) outside first. This disables the alarm system and your ability to call 9-1-1 from a landline. Wireless technology enables a quicker response by the Central Server and emergency response units, and thus keeps you safer from any unwanted predators.

Will my monitoring agreement be sold to a finance company?

Sentry Security is a locally-owned and operated company, not a dealer for a national entity. Your information will never be shared with anyone else.

How do I know if my system is working correctly?

A weekly test signal is vital to uncovering a potential communication problem. Many alarm companies do not perform auto tests, or they charge you extra for this service. Sentry Security provides a weekly test as a part of its basic service to all of its customers. And, we are always available to help you perform a self-test whenever you want.

When I call the office, will I get a recording or a person?

Each phone call is answered by a real person. We are available to quickly provide answers to your questions and deliver solutions. We understand that security is important and you do not want to suffer through automated voice prompts to get an answer to your question.

What is your customer retention rating?

Sentry Security believes that customer satisfaction is very important to all of our clients. Our customer retention rating is 95.8%. We are an Angie’s List A-rated, Honor Roll company. If I have an issue that isn’t being taken care of, can I directly contact decision-makers at the company for resolution?
